We like to arrange visits to the Nursery before your child starts attending regularly. These will give you a chance to chat to the staff  meet your child’s key worker and see the sort of Nursery Program we offer. It also gives your child an opportunity to settle in and get to know some of the children he/she will be playing with.

We believe that every child has different needs, the amount of settling in sessions will vary depending on when parents feel comfortable with their child to start nursery and feel their child is settled.

We understand that leaving your child at nursery for the first time isn’t an easy thing to do and so we are here to help put your mind at ease and make the transition as easy as possible.

If you wish your child to attend for full days, we would suggest that he/she is introduced to this gradually. We recommend that your child attends part days for the first week or so, then increase the time as he/she becomes more settled. He/she should attend for a minimum of two sessions per week in order to settle properly.

It is very important that you bring your enrolment form with your child’s personal details. This is a private form, which will be shown only to staff. Remember, without this your child cannot start the nursery.

We do have a nursery uniform which we encourage all of our children to wear, this starts from 18 months right through to 5 years. We recommend children wear it to avoid clothes getting paint and other things on them and also to aid school readiness. Children will be used to putting on a uniform just as they will have to do when they go to school.
